Candidate engagement suite: An introduction

The candidate engagement suite allows you to set automated messages, sent to candidates based on specific parameters and conditions.

The standard messages available by default are our applicant autoresponder messages, but there are a number of other message types that can be created.

The engagement suite has two main tabs:

  1. Messages
  2. Settings

For the most part you will be working inside the messages tab, while the settings tab allows you to set a few key parameters for all your messages. In this article we'll focus mainly on the messages tab, with links and further info re settings provided towards the end.

Note

The candidate engagement suite is a separate system to integrated email service.

Messages

At the very top of the page, on the right hand side you will find the ‘Create new message’ button. Unsurprisingly, this is the button you hit when you want to create a new message inside the engagement suite.

In the main page you will find the messages dashboard:

If you are accessing the dashboard for the first time, you’ll see that you have a number of applicant autoresponder messages already set up.

Each message is pre-configured with standard text, but you can of course edit and tailor these messages to your bespoke needs. Clicking the blue message title will open the message editor.

The message description area also contains details regarding the message rules, if a widget has been activated, and who the message will be ‘from’ e.g. ‘Vacancy owner’.

In the active column, if the button next to a message is green, then the message is activated. If it is red, then it is deactivated.

To the right, you will be able to monitor some key stats regarding your active messages: -

How many messages have been sent:

How many of those sent have been opened:

How many of those opened have been replied to:

In the last column you can see the date the message was created:

Settings

There are three key areas within the Settings tab, each of which apply to every message generated by the engagement suite.

We’ve therefore provided a separate article explaining this area in further detail, so you can configure this to your exact needs.
