How to disable document downloading
One of the key benefits of idibu candidate records, is the ability to track and store multiple documents pertaining to applications made. These can include CVs, cover letters, and further down the line, updated versions of these documents.
However, we recognise that while logging and storing these this offers great benefits, you may wish to prevent these documents from being downloaded by users.
To disable document downloads
1. Go to 'settings' > 'system settings'
2. Under the 'General' tab, click on the green toggle switch next to 'Allow users to download documents attached to candidate records'. The switch will turn red.

3. Click on 'Save Settings' in the bottom right hand corner of the page.
4. A warning message will appear at the top of your browser. Click 'OK' if you are happy to proceed.
Your candidate documents will still be attached to your candidate records, but the download links will now be disabled.
Common questions
Does this apply to all users?
Yes - this is a global setting which applies to all users.
Will documents still be forwarded to my CRM?
Yes - when you forward your candidate from idibu into your CRM, the notes and documents will still be forwarded as usual.
Are the documents still available to download in future?
Yes - If you re-activate the download option, the documents will immediately become accessible for downloading again.
