LinkedIn Apply Connect
Apply Connect is a feature that enables the Easy Apply functionality, allowing candidates to apply to your jobs directly on LinkedIn, using their LinkedIn profile.
By default, Apply Connect is always enabled for all Premium postings that don't utilize any external Application URL. You can find out more about Premium and Basic postings in this article.
Note
By enabling Apply Connect, you agree to LinkedIn Jobs Terms & Conditions. Read more on LinkedIn Apply Connect here.
If applicable, enabling Apply Connect will also initiate a one-time migration of your job postings with LinkedIn from legacy source to API source, and requires to re-configure Job Wrapping to the ATS API source - refer to the help article.
Disabling Apply Connect
You can turn Apply Connect off globally for all your postings by selecting "Disabled" in the "Apply Connect" field on the LinkedIn Jobs settings page:
Similarly, you can adjust this setting on a per-posting basis under the LinkedIn Jobs Extra Fields section:
This will take priority over the global setting, meaning that you can easily keep Apply Connect enabled for all your postings and still disable only for some - and vice versa.
In addition to the above, regardless of what option you select, Apply Connect will always be disabled under the following circumstances:
- "Basic" Listing Type is selected instead of "Premium".
- Your "Contract ID" field on the LinkedIn Jobs settings page is empty.
- You are posting with an external Application URL to which candidates will be redirected.
How Easy Apply works
For every posting with Apply Connect enabled, candidates will be able to apply directly using their LinkedIn profile:
As part of that, at the point of posting the advert, you can specify which parts of the candidate's profile are required during the application process - by selecting appropriate options in the "Required Candidate Info" Extra Field:
If Apply Connect is disabled, candidates will not see the "Easy Apply" button and instead, they will be redirected to the Application URL that you specified - or to the default application page that idibu will automatically generate.
