Forwarding candidates found in job board searches to Mercury

You can now forward candidates found in your job board searches directly to Mercury. The process is very similar to forwarding your applicants. It just requires you to also allocate the candidate to the appropriate vacancy.

Forwarding job board search candidates to your Mercury vacancy.

  1. Run the job board search as normal against your vacancy.

  1. When you identify a candidate that you want to forward into the Mercury vacancy, if you are in the list view, click the green tick button on the right...

...or if you are inside the candidate record, click the ‘Add to vacancy’ button.

  1. Select the same forwarding status you use to forward your applicants to Mercury (you won’t need to do this every time, as the pop-up will default to the last status you allocated).

  1. Click the ‘Add to vacancy’ button below the selected status.

  1. Your candidate will now be queued and processed into the idibu vacancy that is connected to your Mercury vacancy. When the candidate arrives in the idibu vacancy against your forwarding status, the forwarding to the connected Mercury vacancy will be triggered.

Note

If the candidate is not added to the idibu vacancy using one of the methods above, it will not be possible to forward them to your Mercury vacancy.

Forwarding job board search candidates to the Mercury candidate pool.

  1. Follow the same steps above up to the selection of the forwarding status.
  2. Select the ‘Keep on file’ status, then click ‘Add to vacancy’.

  1. The candidate will be added to the idibu vacancy, but not the Mercury vacancy. This is exactly the same process as when you click the Amber traffic light against an applicant.

FAQs

I’ve noticed there is an amber button against candidates in the search results list. Why doesn’t this forward the candidate to Mercury?

The amber button adds a candidate to the idibu candidate pool, but not against an idibu vacancy. In order for a candidate to be forwarded to Mercury, they need to be added to an idibu vacancy that has been synced with Mercury. From there, the Keep on file status triggers the forwarding into the Mercury candidate pool.

How long does it take for the candidate to arrive in Mercury?

This will vary. The candidate firstly needs to be processed into the idibu vacancy. How quickly this happens will depend on how many candidates have been added by you and other users into your idibu account search processing queue.

Once the candidate is processed into the idibu vacancy, they will be forwarded to Mercury. This again will depend on how many candidates are in the Mercury processing queue, but it will be no different in that regard than when you forward an applicant.

What if I add a candidate to the idibu vacancy, but I’ve chosen the wrong status?

No problem. When the candidate arrives in the idibu vacancy, change their status to the one that triggers the forwarding process you want.
