Bullhorn and candidate categories
When candidates are created in Bullhorn, the Category field must be populated. We offer two simple ways to manage this, depending on your preferred workflow:
Your Options
🔹 Apply a default category
Candidates are assigned a default category (typically the first in your list).
Many clients choose to create something like _unclassified so records can be easily reviewed and updated later.
🔹 Match the vacancy category
Alternatively, you can apply the same category as the Bullhorn vacancy linked to your idibu advert.
This ensures candidates are categorised automatically based on the role they applied for.
How to Enable Vacancy Matching
Go to Settings → CRM Handoff in idibu and select:
“Apply Bullhorn vacancy category to new candidate records”, then save.

Then click 'Save settings' in the bottom right-hand corner.

This setting applies to all new candidates created via idibu — including applicants, sourced candidates, and those added to the candidate pool.
