The difference between applicant and candidate stats in adverts and vacancies

Vacancies and adverts are separate entities in idibu.
Therefore, because of how we handle candidate records, you'll often see a difference between the candidate numbers recorded against a vacancy and the application numbers recorded against an advert.

Why these differences exist

  1. Applicant data shown against the adverts is representative of the number of applications made, and those are broken down by the board. As we use a single candidate record in idibu V3, if that candidate has applied more than once to a vacancy, we'll still only show that one candidate record in the vacancy.
  2. Candidate records are removed from idibu when the red traffic light rejection button is used*. However, we do not remove the recorded application stat from the advert when we do this. (*the exception here is if a candidate is rejected, but had a pre-existing record in idibu. In this scenario, we don't delete the record).
  3. If a user with the appropriate permission level manually deletes a candidate record.
  4. If a user is sourcing directly and added candidates to the vacancy in addition to the applicants.
  5. If the V3 account was upgraded from V2 and the V2 advert was imported, but the previous applicants were not.
