The difference between applicant and candidate stats in adverts and vacancies
Vacancies and
adverts are separate entities in idibu.
Therefore, because of how we handle candidate records, you'll often see a difference between the candidate numbers recorded against a vacancy and the application numbers recorded against an advert.
Why these differences exist
- Applicant data shown against the adverts is representative of the number of applications made, and those are broken down by the board. As we use a single candidate record in idibu V3, if that candidate has applied more than once to a vacancy, we'll still only show that one candidate record in the vacancy.
- Candidate records are removed from idibu when the red traffic light rejection button is used*. However, we do not remove the recorded application stat from the advert when we do this. (*the exception here is if a candidate is rejected, but had a pre-existing record in idibu. In this scenario, we don't delete the record).
- If a user with the appropriate permission level manually deletes a candidate record.
- If a user is sourcing directly and added candidates to the vacancy in addition to the applicants.
- If the V3 account was upgraded from V2 and the V2 advert was imported, but the previous applicants were not.
