Important updates to our Seek integration

We have some great news for everyone using Seek to recruit...

Working in conjunction with SEEK and their brand new API, on January 3rd we’ll be rolling out our brand new integration which will be available to all customers.

Here’s what you need to know and do...

Attention all Admins!

How to subscribe to the new SEEK integration

In preparation for the January 3rd go live, on the 17th December, you will be able to subscribe to the “SEEK NEW” board via your idibu account. The reason for this is so you can move your budgets across to the SEEK NEW board in time for launch.

Here’s a little reminder on how to edit job boards:

https://v3-docs.idibu.com/article/384-adding-job-boards

You can use your current Advertiser ID but for the best posting experience please confirm your SEEK HIRER ID with you SEEK Account Manager directly or the SEEK Customer Service on 1300 658 700 or via their contact us form

You only need to use the letters in the SEEK Hirer ID eg:

  • seekAnz:organization:seek:1a2B3c4D. Only the final 1a2B3c4D part should be entered as the NEW SEEK Hirer ID's

On the custom fields, please ensure you set Advert Type to "hidden" as this is managed for you automatically.

Budgets & Quotas reset

When you subscribe to the SEEK NEW board,  please move any budgets/quotas from “old” SEEK to the SEEK NEW.

For variable budgets

For quotas

https://v3-docs.idibu.com/article/873-allocating-posting-quotas-to-your-job-boards

Here’s a quick video that covers both of the above:

IMPORTANT!!!

The 2 boards do not talk to each other, so if budgets/quotas aren’t moved from the original SEEK to the SEEK NEW, your team will be able to post via SEEK NEW with no limits!!!

Posting & Edits

As of the 3rd January, please ask the team to post ALL new advert via seek new:

You will still see the original seek there for EDITS ONLY on roles posted PRIOR to 3rd January until January 31st.

Your team can edit the adverts in the normal way via Ad Manager and they can see which ads were posted via “original” SEEK or  SEEK NEW.

We are keeping this board here until the end ofJanuary 3rd to allow your team to make any necessary changes to adverts posted during December.

Please note:

This board will be removed on January 31st, so if used for a new advert during January your team will not be able to edit after January 31st.

How will this new integration benefit you and your teams?

Well, we have to update to the latest APIs used by all our job board partners. This one from SEEK comes with some great benefits, such as:

  • Job Category Recommendations
  • Granular locations
  • Additional extra fields for better responses

Also in this memo, there’s some really important stuff about how you need to move quotas in readiness for the launch, or you’ll have unlimited credits on the new SEEK API. Please read on carefully for more info…

Job Category Recommendations

You will now be able to benefit from SEEK recommended job categories based upon your job title imputed into idibu and then SEEKs algorithm kicks in to recommend categories under which candidates apply to these advert titles.

Granular locations

Using the location you have selected in the idibu iFrame window

SEEK will feedback more localised locations to select from for more targeted advertising

Please note:

If you do not see a location here, it means it is not available on SEEK, please select BACK and choose a different location.

Billing Reference Extra Field

Under “Optimise your advert” you will see a new field

This can be used, for example, if you’re running a dual campaign with a client and wish to include an internal reference number or PO for you accounting department
