Ad Manager 2.0: Advert filters and filter bar
The filter bar at the top of the Ad Manager page is your control centre for managing all of your adverts. When you click on the Adverts tab, Ad Manager will display all of your adverts by default. The filter bar provides you with a number of very useful options to filter the Ad Manager page to the view you require.
What’s more, the filters can be used in conjunction with each other to provide highly specific custom filtering.
Filter tags
Each filter activated is represented by a filter tag that appears below the filter bar. This can be disabled by clicking the X to the right of the tag.
Alternatively you can just select a different filter option from the drop down menu:
Let’s take a closer look at each filter, moving along the filter bar from left to right:
Filter by status
The ‘status’ filter allows you to select either ‘Live’ or ‘Expired or deleted’ adverts.
Filter by sender
The ‘sender’ filter allows you to view and select the name of any user who is the sender of an advert, either directly from the drop down list or by using the search box to find a specific name.
Note that the results that appear here will be dictated by any other filters you have in place.
Filter by posting date
The ‘posting date’ filter provides you with a number of different options to choose from, as shown below.
The custom date picker allows you to select a specific date or date range. Simply click on the first date in your required range, then drag your mouse to the required end date if in the same month. If the end date is in a later month then use the month scroller at the top of the pop up to find the month you need. As soon as you click on the second date in the range, the filter will be triggered.
You can view the date range selected by hovering your mouse over the filter block.
The filter block will show part of the date range, but hovering your mouse over the top will produce an icon containing the full date range.
Filter by expiry date
The ‘expiry date’ filter works in exactly the same way as the posting date filter, except of course the parameter used is the date that the advert expires.
Filter by job board
Similar to the ‘sender’ filter, the ‘boards’ filter allows you to view and select the name of any user who is the sender of an advert, either directly from the drop down list or by using the search box to find a specific board name.
Search by Advert title or reference
This is a free text search box allowing you to search for a specific advert by title or reference.
As mentioned above, you can easily remove any filters you have implemented with a single click, quickly and efficiently tweaking your results.
You can now review your advert in more detail, repost or delete your advert(s).
